From the time we're small everyone asks, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
We base our lives from the time we enter school at age five on this one question.
How we measure up to others in this category will follows us our entire lives and decide if we've lived a successful life.
Yet most people when asked will say they hate their jobs and dread Mondays.
Have you found someone yet?
When are you getting married?
Are you single?
Are you looking?
Are you thinking of having children?
Shouldn't you have children by now?
You're a great parent, I see how dedicated you are.
Yet most people will say even though they love the person they're with and family they feel as if something is lacking.
How old are you? (When they're really trying to see if your life measures up to society's idea of where you should be by each age.) Have you lost weight? You look great. Wow, You look fantastic for your age. Most people will spend their lives racing a clock decided by man and looking to be a body type set by media. No matter their age they will feel insecure about where they are and what they look like.
It's time to experience your dreams coming to life.
It's time to walk through the fear, with a tribe of people cheering you on.
Each week you will experience small wins, little dreams coming true, as you change your fear to excitement, and blast through any blocks.
By week ten you will be blown away but what you've experienced and how grand life has become.
There's a Fuckit List Life Secret Society . . .
and we're a tribe of people who stopped living by the rules.
No we aren't on YouTube or a Reality Show. In fact oftentimes we hate social media. Taking time to post a picture takes away from living the experience and who has time to look at a screen?
We don't check off items on a list to say we did it or to collect selfies. We're long past needing social approval.
We know each other by the spirit in which we live. We're calmer. Happier. More confident.
We meet on planes, in art galleries, finding each other in coffee shops, at sports competitions we partake in, and on adventures.
There's no age limit young or old to this society. . . we've long broken up with the concept of age.
In fact we can't remember the last time we gave a shit what other people thought about us.
Society has tried to make us bend to its will.
Now we just shake our heads and laugh.
We don't care who's trending. What fake news has released. We get our knowledge of the world by going to the places we're told are too dangerous and end up being welcomed by friendly smiling faces.
Our debt is managed or non-existent because we refuse to work to sustain a lifestyle that doesn't fit us. Stuff has long ceased to matter.
We are single, coupled, parents, grandparents, divorcees but these titles carry no meaning.
We mark our lives with how we explore this incredible playground we call earth.
Our gym is the earth and we have many vehicles in which to move. . . figure skates, volleyball nets, skis, hiking boots, boats, dance shoes, rock climing sneakers, surfboards, writing utensils, and so many more. We move because we're passionate about living not because we ate chocolate cake.
WE EAT CHOCOLATE CAKE! And it's the most decadent butter rich kind we can find.
We live our lives through pleasure.
And when shit happens, it's our lifestyle that picks us back up.
